Coming from someone who has had MRIs my whole like because of NF1, I know this, and sources confirm this (I don't have one on hand, but if you need one I can show). These are very good at imaging tumors/cancer in the brain and spinal cord. Source for the symptoms.Īlso, we saw that he had an MRI scan, because of the shape and length of the machine. The seizure was probably a sign that the cancer is terminal. And here's the big one, seizures, which I am certain is the event that got him hospitalized. Mood swings and/or personality changes is another, so when we see him write that self-hating piece before the seizure, that's most likely the cause. Learning difficulties, which we see with the test results, and can even see the miscoloring of the ocean, grass, and sky as this too. Loss of vision and/or blurred vision, which we see often once he's sick.

I think it is specifically a Glioblastoma Multiforme, because it acts fast, has a low survival rate, and there are many symptoms that align with this. I think it's almost certainly cancer, probably brain. The death rate for children 5-14 is 0.3 per 100,000 in the U.S., which is damn low. With modern medicine, especially seeing Benjamin getting proper care, pneumonia is not a big killer here, that's not to say other countries don't have issues with it tho. Also the death rate for pneumonia in children, in the United States, not the world, is very low. Also, later later stage cancer patients often need a ventilator, which we see Benjamin use not long before dying.

And like I mentioned earlier, in another route where you don't go out with Chloe, you don't get the whole "you already sound sick" scene. “PCA can also be used at home by people who are in hospice or who have moderate to severe pain caused by cancer.” Source. Also PCA's are very common amongst later-stage cancer patients. Also he has an IV, so for all we know, his parents or a doctor comes in and gives him it once a week or so, we simply don't know. Also, I'd argue that by the time he's bedridden in his room (with the PCA and IV), it's more of a hospice care, but we do see him regularly taking pills, and that is one form of chemo. If he was just unconscious, she'd prob just think he's sleeping, as it was night. Why else would his mom walk in and freak the fuck out. I'm almost certain it's a seizure though.
#Before your eyes game disease update
I will update the list as more stuff is analyzed/brought to attention.

Not quite sure what the final episode he had was (the one that killed him). Has an incident where he dies, usually seizures aren't fatal, but can be.Has an incident in his bed whilst typing a self-hating piece, I'm guessing a grand mal seizure, but I'm not 100% sure. After a few years in his life, his vision can become blurry and distorted, maybe it's a seizure, migraine, so on.We see in multiple flashbacks two large circles, representing a narrowed vision in the eyes. There is tunnel vision, or peripheral vision loss, but this may be more of a memory mechanic then anything.Anyone have any thoughts, details, theories, or really anything? The x-ray of his lungs really throws me off, is it a clue? is it a red herring? I think my theory right now is that he has cancer, and he suffered a grand mal seizure that landed him to be bedridden, but I'm really not sure. I've been trying to figure out what it is, but I can't quite pinpoint it. If you've played the game Before Your Eyes, you've probably noticed that Benjamin Brynn, the main character, either has or developed a disease/condition, to which he died from at age 12.
